April 1,2010 memories
Who thought that in 2010 I would get lucky and be able to fool a few friends on April 1 (which is not my lucky number)……Let me give a few instances which will prove how good I was at it!
Episode number 1:
I find Vi, my best pal’s husband, on chat and I tell him that the petrol prices in India have risen to 68 Rs/litre and that I suspect the UN had something to do with it…..He works for the UN…..He was surprised with the fact that we are at par w.r.t the petrol price in India and Europe and empathized with me- which establishes the fact that he bought my story :-P
Episode number 2:
Another friend K is in training and has access ONLY to the training network (which means that he cannot browse the internet).
Me: Hey, why didn’t u tell me that u had a movie named after u?
K : What r u talking about?
Me: Dint u watch the trailers?
K (totally stunned now): Which movie?
Me: I m surprised dude. Jolie is in the star cast and u dint notice it!
K (about to die of curiosity): Please give me details. I ‘ll check it out l8r. The trainer is noticing me!
Me: Alright. U might have missed it when u were occupied with the IPL match.
K : Tell me the name of the movie.
Me: Goodbye my friend, K
K (excited to the core): Did u know…Angelina is my favourite actress!
Me (of course knowing that fact very well): Oh really??? Now u can brag to your friends about this movie.
K : Yeah, that’s what I was thinking. Wow!
On Sunday night, when the long weekend was coming to an end:
K : Hate you. I searched for the movie that whole night and didn't find it.
Those were words that sounded like music to my ears ;-)

although u so badly couldnt fooll me even though u tried...
April 1 was a Thursday is isn't it, in our client office we have a drinks party on first Thursday of every months. Our hot receptionists send a mail saying that since its a long weekend and Easter they are planning to wear play boy bunny costumes to please us. I bought it - but it was obvious - still many of my friends realised only when I told them its April 1st. ;))
On another note it was my fathers birth day, ;P
